Frequently Asked Questions

What is an average cost to do a direct mail/email campaign?

All lists have "base" prices. Our broker’s knowledge of industry practices often allows us to recognize methods of reducing costs through creative price negotiation, net term arrangements and re-use contingencies. This can be crucial to a marketing efforts success and is a skill that we happen to be very good at. The lower the campaign cost, the higher the return on your investment. Remember, as your partner, we share the same objectives.

Is it possible to rent a direct competitor’s file?

Sometime competitors will rent their lists but charge a premium (competitive fee). Often they will simply deny rental. However, as your experienced list broker, PMI will help you find alternative methods for tapping into the same target market.

Is there a minimum order?

Yes, there is. Each list owner establishes the minimum. Among consumer files the most common industry minimum is 5,000 records. However every rental is different and there are unique circumstances where our brokers will seek to waive test minimums.

What is the average turn around time to receive a list order?

The list owner must review and clear your creative material. Depending on their process, the order can take anywhere from 3 to 7 business days.

What is the refund policy for undeliverables?

The acceptable standard for deliverability in the industry is 95%. Any names/records that are non-deliverable beyond 5% are deducted from rental fees. Beyond this, there is accepted industry provisions for discounting internal record dupes, DMA Panders, etc. As your broker we will help you make these determinations and see you receive the highest value for your rental dollar.
